Jacob Cooper is an award-winning #1 bestselling author in the epic fantasy and scifi/fantasy genres. His first effort, Moon Monsters, was written when he faked sickness one day in first grade to stay home and write. This book received the acclaim of his parents and sits in a black 3-ringed binder somewhere in their basement.
The Dying Lands Chronicle is a planned trilogy in the epic fantasy genre. Book 1, Circle of Reign, marks Jacob's first major effort on the fiction side of writing. Altar of Influence, a prelude to the Dying Lands Chronicle was released late 2014. Circle of Reign won GOLD for Fantasy in the 2015 National IPPY awards. Fantasy legend David Farland recently took an interest in Circle of Reign and worked with Jacob one-on-one to accomplish a rewrite, expanding the scenes, tightening the prose, and elevating the plotting. This helped lead to the series being picked up by Audible Studios for the audio rights. A re-release of Altar of Influence is Scheduled for Oct 11, 2016, with Circle of Reign to be re-released shortly thereafter. The new editions of AOI and COR are are "extended cuts" with new scenes and better overall plotting.
Aside from writing, Jacob is an accomplished percussionist, pianist, and composer. He enjoys power sports on land and water, as well as spending time with his family.
