Charles Logan's SHIPWRECK: 5 stars
'Shipwreck' [tells the story of the last] survivor of a spaceship that lands on a planet with a breathable atmosphere and has to make the best of it by manipulating the ship's supplies and equipment--along with native materials--to create the necessities of life. [His] manipulations are ingenious; we admire [him] for what he is able to do with his meager resources. There are no animals on the surface of the planet, and it turns out that there is really only one plant species that covers virtually every square inch of land.
This is the most memorable book I have ever read. I went to my local library in 1975 and borrowed a hardback of this book. I was the first person in the library to have read it, and [as a teenager] it made an impression on me that lasted a lifetime. ... By the end you really know the character, you all but become him; his problems become yours. You keep [asking] yourself how you would cope in the same circumstances. It is all so very real.

I too after reading the review wanted to read it.
The best I have done so far is epub in Spanish.
Trying to get a translation back into English.
I can translate a paragraph, but not the entire ebook.

If we could find it, somebody might offer to read and record it. It's not very long.
This really is an extraordinary book (the only one Logan ever wrote, I believe).
Just as the reviews suggest, it is powerful, bleak and unforgettable.
Not to worry, I'll post some other things that you might have fun investigating.  I have a diary from the 1970s.
