Audible File Retrieval.
I have come across a problem and I need help, please.
Firstly, I do NOT have an Audible account.
Most of the time I can get my ‘Stuff’ from several sources.
Secondly, a friend of mine DOES have an account with Audible.
On the face of it, there should NOT be a problem.
I hope that we are both missing something VERY simple.
There is a particular book that I want, ALL other sources of it are corrupt.
My friend has the book, it will playback on her ‘phone offline (Nokia).
The book will also sync to her other Android devices.
Now to the problem.
Nowhere on her account does the option to download as MP3 exist.
Her phone, when linked to MY Windows Netbook only shows empty memory.
The folder on her ‘phone ‘Audiobooks’ is empty.
Android file management is a sick joke and I can’t find where Audible sticks the files.
Please, Please help.
Can somebody please present me with an IDIOT guide to finding these illusive Audiobooks?
My friend is fairly savvy with Audible BUT she is now in the same place as I am.
Going slightly mad.
I on the other hand need gentle and clear guidance as to how to find what I am after.

Hopefully I'll be able to walk you through this!
I'd use a desktop PC if you can and go to the audible homepage.
Select "library"
At the bottom of each title owned, you should see "Add to favorites", "Add to...", "Mark as finished" [or "Mark as unfinished"], and then "download".
Just click download, and select whether you want it as a single file or in two or three parts.
It will be encrypted - I'd recommend using inAudible to decrypt it.

One thing to note is that you can only select to download from the Library page (where it shows a list of your audiobooks.)
You can't go to the Library page, then into a specific books' page.
Hopefully that made sense!

Hi there.
No, unfortunately it did not go well.
We messed around for ages (With the computer)
All it saved was a small file with not a lot in it.
It ended uo doing our heads in.
Still, you can't win 'em all.
