One of the best things about audiobooks is anthologies where the individual bites are one or two hour lengths that we are used to consuming all at once, like a movie.
I mostly listen to classic science fiction (say, 1930-1970) from when the the short story and novella were the typical forms of the genre because almost all SF was published in magazines with only a handful of popular works ever making it into book form.
So the "best of" and other anthologies are indispensable. Best of Fnatasy and Science Fiction 12, Isaac Asimov presents the best SF stories 5, The Best Science Fiction Stories 1966, etc..
A lot of these books did exist on Audiobook. Every now and then you'll run into one on youtube sometimes. There are a few anthologies here (I believe I have located them all) but not a lot.
And other anthologies, of course. I don't mean to exclude collections of stories from Black Mask or Weird Tales, or the annual Years Best Short Stories, or the Edgar Award Winners or the wonderful huge Ottoe Penzler audiobook collection -- the black lizard big book of pulp detectives, etc..
Thanks for your attention.
