Audiobook Search and Request
Search
Firstly I will cover the Search Facility.
You MUST use this facility FIRST.
It has been covered before, BUT those threads have become lost in the mists.
You MUST have an account and you MUST be logged in.
Only then will you have access to the Search Facility.
The top line may well look like this:
AUDIOBOOKS | User list | Search | Profile | Admin | Logout
IF you have the Romanian translated to English.
Without translation instead of ‘Search’ you may see ‘Cauta’.
Click on that button and you will be taken to another screen.
In the box Titled ‘Cuvinte-cheie’ type in a single word.
This word will usually be part of the Authors Name.
Choose the less common one.
The box Titled ‘Cautati in’ gives you THREE options.
Choose the THIRD option ‘Doar subiect’
You will then be presented with a list of threads that contain that word in the Title.
If your Auto-Translate is not working correctly you may have to consider learning some Romanian, if only to cover the responses.
1. If the screen you receive is the Request Screen without your request, then the function is probably not working for you.
This may be your choice of Browser, I run 5 of them. Usually at least one will work.
This may also be your Internet Provider, use a Browser with VPN, it may help.
2. You may be presented with a screen that includes the line
‘Cautarea dumneavoastra nu a returnat nici un rezultat.’
That basically means there are NO results.
Request
The request function is fairly simple.
On the top line, if you cannot already see the Request heading, press the AUDIOBOOKS link, THEN press the Request link.
On the far RIGHT of the screen you will see the link ‘Adauga subiect nou’
That is a NEW Request.
Use Authors FULL name ONLY in the Topic field. This makes a search that much simpler.
If you got the Search response ‘1’ above. In the Message Field, state the obvious that you are having problems with the search function.
If a thread exists, some kind person will help and post the link for that thread.
If you got the Search response ‘2’ then in the Message Field put in as much information a possible. The name of the book, is it part of a series.
It would also help if you actually know that it is available in Audiobook format.
If you don’t, it may have at some time, just keep your fingers crossed.
For my part, when I respond to a request, IF there is a previous thread, I post to that.
It keeps all links for the author in one place.
Not all are main threads, some are the original request for an author which is why author name only on the request keeps everything tidy.
FOR BROKEN LINKS
Do NOT use the Request function, please ask for the links to be renewed on the original thread.
Please be clear which link is broken.
Quote the Series AND the title of the Book with the broken link.
As we are all aware some Authors are quite prolific and singling out a single book from just the download link can be troublesome.
This guide is NOT exhaustive, I will probably have missed something out.
There will be those out there who will be able to help out more that I can.
Above all else, remember that you are asking for somone to give you something for FREE.
Be Polite.
